What's the most practical device to display your laptop screen display to your TV set? With accessible channels online, I would like these displayed on my TV set instead of using my laptop. Any suggestion?

Do you mean USB? Anyway, you may have to use a VGA RCA to S-Video converter cable. First look and see what types of ports you have on your laptop and make a list. Then do the same for your TV. Then do a Google search for cable with both types of connections.

To be honest i have a s-video input coming out of the side of my computer and all i have to do is just hook it up to the s-video on my tv and change the input on the computer and then it works.
